Shipping, Handling, Insurance Policy
All items are expertly packed and insured. Dolls, clothing, and doll parts are wrapped in my signature lavender acid free tissue paper prior to being wrapped in protective bubble wrap and loose fill inside the boxes. My packaging gives the buyer absolutely NO worries about carrier theft or pilferage, as the return address gives the shop-owners name rather than the business name, and no insurance stamps or stickers give any clues as to the valuable contents. Buyer pays shipping, handling and insurance for initial shipment as well as returns if applicable.
Shipment: I ship daily, Monday through Friday. Shoppers assume all risk of packages shipped without insurance and / or tracking. PayPal purchases will be shipped to verified/confirmed addresses ONLY; please ensure that you give the correct shipping address on your Ruby Lane purchase order. Please note that if your Ruby Lane registration shows only a PO Box for shipping and/or contact information, I must ask for your physical address, which will allow me to locate you should something go awry with your order during shipment or if there is an issue with payment. Likewise, if your telephone number is not included in your registration, I will ask for it in order to ship your parcel.
Note: Closed dome doll heads are generally removed from the body and packed carefully to protect the eyes during shipment. If you prefer the head NOT be removed, please request alternative packing procedures when your order is placed.
Purchases may be subject to a 10% restocking fee at our discretion. Layaway orders are subject to a Layaway Agreement which has its own Terms of Sale; please review all layaway terms prior to finalizing a layaway plan.
This shop offers a layaway plan for purchases. The Ruby Lane Return Policy does not apply to layaway purchases, and Layaway Plans may vary by shop. It is extremely important to read and understand this shops Layaway Plan below, and clarify any terms with the individual shop owner before you enter into a Layaway Plan agreement.

**Restocking and Cancellation Fees apply to the total purchase price of the item and DO NOT include shipping/handling or sales tax, which are the responsibility of the buyer.
Layaway is available on most purchases over $150.00 but must be pre-approved. Prices are firm on all layaway transactions. Initial deposit is due at time of purchase. The layaway terms suggested below are for an extended layaway. Number of payments is dependent on the total amount of the layaway as shown below:
$150 - $400 (3 equal monthly payments)
$401-$500 (4 equal monthly payments)
$501 -$600 (5 equal monthly payments)
$601-$700 (6 equal monthly payments)
$701-$800 (7 equal monthly payments)
$801-$900 (8 equal monthly payments)
$901-$1000 (9 equal monthly payments)
$1001 - $1250 (10 equal monthly payments)
$1251-$1400 (11 equal monthly payments)
$1401 and up (12 equal monthly payments)
I am pleased to offer generous layaway plans to buyers who desire deferred payment plans. While I do not charge interest for the use of shop funds over the layaway term, I do require that payments be made by check and they must be made on or before the scheduled due date and in the agreed upon amount. Late payments will carry a late charge that will be due with the subject late payment. All late fees remaining unpaid during the course of the layaway will be due and payable with the final payment in order to be considered paid in full. Each layaway customer is asked to be certain of his or her ability and willingness to honor the full agreement prior to entering into a layaway transaction with me. Should the buyer fail to meet the terms of the layaway agreement, the transaction will be cancelled and a shop credit less the stated restocking fee and cancellation fee will be issued. No refunds will be made. Shop credits are valid for one calendar year.
All layaway purchases must be negotiated and approved prior to an order being placed. Items on layaway are wrapped and labeled and insured, and are not disturbed again until they are packed for shipment. Inventory protection is of the utmost importance at Joy's Antique Dolls.
ITEM STATUS is constantly updated. When a buyer clicks to purchase an item, a "sale pending" tag is automatically placed to ensure that another buyer cannot purchase your item. Listed items are available to any buyer who clicks on the "purchase" button and follows through with the sale; please understand that items are not on hold while you are asking questions, negotiating offers, or otherwise considering a purchase. All sales are "first come first served". If we have negotiated a different price on an item, this price is good for 24 hours only and will be considered "final sale". If you purchase after the 24 hour period has expired, the posted pricing will prevail. I reserve the right to block or cancel an order or refuse service for any reason without prior notice.
DOMESTIC CUSTOMERS: PayPal payments are due within 24 hours of order. Personal checks, money orders and cashiers checks are due within 7 days of your order. Items will be held in "sale pending" status until the expiration of the payment due date; if payment is not received within the designated time frame and request for extension is not approved, the item will be returned to available inventory without notice and will be subject to purchase by others.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: We accept International PayPal from PayPal approved countries. PayPal payments are due within 48 hours of order. CUSTOMS FORMS will bear factual information about your purchases; please do not ask us to falsify customs information. International buyers are responsible for taxes, tariffs, duties, or other charges levied against their purchases by the country the item is shipped to.
IDAHO residents pay 6.0% sales tax, or provide a signed Idaho resale tax certificate with payment.
Returned checks or checks requiring special handling due to insufficient funds or stop payments, will bear a $40 fee without exception.
