FEATURED RUBY LANE JEWELRY ARTISAN SHOP: HOLLY COTTAGE DESIGNS
Hello and welcome to Holly Cottage! I'm Judith Rudolph and I design and make all the jewelry you see in my store.
Many of my jewelry designs feature fine lampwork glass beads created by master artisans throughout the United States and Canada. Most are independent artisans with home studios. I love working with them because it feels good to support their businesses but especially because the lampwork beads they produce are the best you can get anywhere. The creativity, hand detailing, and high quality they offer is truly without equal.
Cultured pearls are another favorite of mine. Although pearls were once worn just for formal occasions, today's women wear them any time, any place. They add elegance and warmth to any outfit.
Many of my necklaces feature beautiful and unusual gemstones set in handcrafted Sterling Silver pendants. They adorn necklaces that I create with pearls, silver and gemstone beads to complement each pendant. Most are are one-of-a-kind. In some cases I may be able to create something similar if you take a fancy to a piece that has already sold. Just ask. I do love to spoil my customers!
2Like many creative people I'm forever finding fresh inspiration, so you will always find something new and different at Holly Cottage Designs. I use only high quality components and take great care with every detail in designing and crafting each piece. My goal is for you to be even more pleased with your choice when you receive it than when you saw it
on your computer monitor!
There is an actual Holly Cottage where I create my jewelry. It's located on the beautiful coast of Maine and is home to myself, my husband, and our four pampered pets. The view from my studio workshop stretches out across backyard gardens, over a meadow, and down the hill to the village wharf. It's a wonderful place to find inspiration!
Special orders are always welcome. These are often for a copy of an item that has already sold, accessory pieces to match a listed item, or duplicates that are needed for bridesmaid gifts. I'm thrilled to fulfill your wish if I'm able to! I'm also happy to convert any of my earrings to clip-on or screw backs at no charge. Just ask!
I value your business and work hard to ensure that you're delighted with your purchase.
Thanks so much for looking! Judith Rudolph of Holly Cottage Designs
RUBY LANE FINE ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: RACHEL UCHIZONO
My name is Rachel Uchizono and I am an artist living in Laguna Beach, California. I paint Plein Air, which means to paint landscapes on location. Laguna Beach has a rich tradition of plein air painting. Many great painters have set up their easel and painted Laguna locations that remain unchanged. William Wendt, Edger Payne and Hanson Puthuff to name a few of the great artists that founded the original Laguna Beach art colony in the 1920's. My paintings are of canyons, eucalyptus trees and seascapes. In my studio I paint my stuffed peacock, flowers from my garden and persimmons. I have exhibited at Studio 7 Gallery for 11 years and exhibited at the Sawdust Festival for 7 years. Offered for sale at my gallery are my paintings as I paint them..
Being an artist I am attracted to beautiful things and I wish to share them with you.

FEATURED RUBY PLAZA PHOTO ARTIST: LYNNE GREEN
In 1998, the road turned for me. After a lifetime in the creative fields of writing, stage directing and documentary video, an unexpected permanent disability challenged me to reinvent myself. With the generous help of Vocational Rehabilitation and the support of a handful of exceptional friends, I was able to grow new strengths, learn new skills and gradually regain independence.
Designing jewelry and photography have become my two new mediums for self-expression. When working with stones, I love the immediacy of using my hands to build an object of my imagination; love holding the tangible results. It's breathtaking to witness someone wearing something I passionately poured my heart into and I hope you will find beauty and joy in my work, too.
I primarily use gemstones, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver as the base for my designs. Although each component may be beautiful, I believe it's more about the relationship of the materials, rather than the materials themselves that imbue the piece with magic.
When shooting images for my greeting cards and prints, my first love is botanicals. My work has been purchased by the Missouri Botanical Garden for sale in their gift shop, by Paraquad Independent Living Center for their permanent gallery and I was also commissioned to do photos for the set of tv's remake of "Rear Window," starring Christopher Reeve.
Customer satisfaction is of primary importance to me, so if you are displeased with any aspect of your
purchase, I will do my best to resolve it or refund your money in full.
I live with my support dog, Hank, in St. Louis.
