One of the favorite holidays of vintage enthusiasts and collectors is everything Easter. Favorites in this category include felt creations by Annalee Dolls…
…and the charming Springtime Collection of R. John Wright that includes chicks, lambs, ducklings, and rabbits.
Many like to collect vintage paper holiday napkins and paper plates, and many greeting card companies have provided lots of inspiration to collectors. Antique Easter cards featuring children, lilies, cherubs, angels, and chucks fill albums and picture frames, so do Victorian scraps.
Hallmark and other companies have also made Easter ornaments, and delicate white branched Easter trees are decked with collections of papier mache, Dresden, and blown glass ornaments that rival Christmas trees.
A great vintage book is Miss Flora McFlimsey’s Easter Bonnet, and many spring and Easter themed books illustrated by Tasha Tudor. The Velveteen Rabbit is a lovely book for the season as is Pat the Bunny. We hope you have a wonderful vintage Easter celebration! If you have a special Easter decorating style, send us photos and we will share them on our Facebook page during the Easter season.
