It’s “Lemons and Lemonade” week on Ruby Lane and of course, Cody had to get in the spirit with his lemonade stand. He wanted to find something vintage – a “throwback” lemonade recipe if you will and he found some great ones to share with you for the perfect step-back-in-time picnic. So, build your lemonade stand and start squeezing because we are going to party like it’s 1928!
The first spiced lemonade recipe is from 1928 and comes from the Gardiner Public Library.

This recipe was found by our friends at MidCenturyMenu from the cookbook: a la Rector: Unveiling the Culinary Mysteries of the world-famous George Rector. It’s from 1935. Adding ginger ale instead of water sounds delicious!

These old lemonade recipes were compiled by our friends at VintageCookbookTrials.
Here is Francatelli’s Cook’s Guide for lemonade – this one is from 1864!

The English Cookery Book, Lucie Nicoll, 1936

Modern Cookery Illustrated, 1947 – Lemonade WITHOUT Lemons!

Now that you have all the throwback lemonade recipes, all you need now is vintage serving pieces. Here are Cody’s top picks from RubyLane.com
