Ruby Lane Dolls recently had the opportunity to visit the UFDC (United Federation of Doll Clubs) Doll Museum in Kansas City, Missouri. The United Federation of Doll Clubs is a non-profit organization with the goal of being the foremost in research, education, conservation, collecting, and appreciation of dolls. The museum hosted a special open house event in conjunction with the National Doll Dealers Association Annual Doll Show. We were not prepared for how incredible this museum was, and it was such a treat for us to be welcomed inside and to share live videos of the day. If you are a doll lover, collector, enthusiast, club, or just getting started in ‘doll world’, this is a must-see museum. We were only able to show you a slice of the incredible collection and study opportunities available at this museum and we encourage you to visit and donate to this important cause. It is 10 minutes from the airport and is open six days a week. The museum is funded by UFDC and admission for adults is only $4.00. Would you like to become a part of the story? By joining UFDC, you become a part of a vast network of members involved in the doll world. There is room for everyone at UFDC’s table! Ruby Lane is a proud sponsor of the upcoming UFDC Doll Convention in Orlando, Florida in 2017.
