Our special friend, and Ruby Lane mascot Cody, passed away on November 20th, 2017. The entire Ruby Lane Family will miss Cody’s good humor, inviting personality, and the daily joy that he brought to our lives.

“What we have once enjoyed
we can never lose;
All that we love deeply
 becomes a part of us.
”

– Helen Keller

Remembering Cody

“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”

– Anatole France

“Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love unless he’s owned a dog. A dog can show you more honest affection with a flick of his tail than a man can gather through a lifetime of handshakes.”

– Gene Hill

    Please accept my sincerest sympathies in the loss of your Cody and my apologies for just noticing this now. Some say that our dogs and cats should live as long as we do, but I believe there’s a reason that we are gifted with their presence for only a short time. They each come to us at different points in our life and teach us things that we may not have learned were they with us for the long haul.
    My Golden boy Chauncey is 10 now and just starting to show his age, so this post was very timely for me. Thank you so much for sharing and once again, please accept my condolences.

    Pam
