Our Favorites - Limoges, RS Prussia, Elegant Glass, Noritake, Nippon, and Victorian Items
The photographs will tell the story best but what a fantastic plate. It is 8.5 inches in diameter, no chips, no cracks, there might be some gold wear on the very edge, it is difficult to be sure. The flowers have enameled touches. Marked LS&S Limoges France which is Straus, Lewis and Sons and the backstamp was used from the 1840's to the mid 1920's. I think I would date this as some where in the middle. The best I can find on value is that a relish with cupids or cherubs, and no where as near as elaborate, books at $425 to $450.
