When the factories of Quimper first registered their trademark HB in 1883 and used this mark until 1904. This Antique HB Quimper Double Salts was produced in that period. The two Breton figures in their native costumes grace each side, the woman in her cap and apron, the man in the traditional bragoubraz and knee socks. A handle in yellow and white with deep orange lines forms a bridge between the two sides.

There are two glaze skips around the blue sponged rim and one tiny chip on the man's hair, which can be easily repaired. The piece measures 3 3/4" by 3". The bottom is marked HB.
