Et tu Brute! You can imagine this wonderful marble footed birdbath bowl in the Etruscan gardens of Julius Caesar. The marble is rich and well defined and honed to the perfect shading. The four sculpted birds,sitting sentry on the rim of the birdbath bowl, have had a bit of wear to wings and beaks, as one would expect on a piece of indiscriminate age. There is also a little rubbing to the marble, but no damage or chips or cracks that I can detect on the bowl.

This is a piece that will take you back to a time when you sipped wine and relaxed and absorbed the history on your journey through the Italian countryside.
