These truly exceptional vases, hand painted with exquisite cascading budding flowers against a rich blue background, could have come straight off the mantle in the great room of a French chateau. We just acquired the pair at an estate sale and we were drawn to them immediately. The scalloped rim is edged in gold. As well, the delicately shaped handles and turned feet, are painted half in gold and half in ecru - a method which I have never seen before. The white interior of the vases is pristine. This is a find which you will treasure always.

The vases are in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, repairs, but there is some rubbing of the gold on the handles and feet. The hand painted flowers are as perfect as the day they were designed. The vases measure 9" in height and 7 1/2" from the end of one handle to the end of the other. There are no markings on the vases.
