What a fantastic autographed action photo of Glen "Chico" Resch, one of hockey's all time great goalies. Resch was captured in action by famed author and photographer Joe Bereswill (The Dynamic Islanders - From Cellar to Stanley Cup). as he makes a save on Bill Barber of the Philadelphia Flyers as team mates Ken Morrow and Denis Potvin scramble to clear the puck. This 8" x 10" black and white photo was signed by Resch with a black shapie and the signature is a perfect "10".

Master Editions Antiques & Collectibles certifies that this Glen "Chico" Resch autograph is guaranteed to be 100% authentic and will be accompanied with a certificate of authenticity attesting to the creditability of Glen "Chico" Resch signature. If at any time this autograph is proven to be other than as represented the purchaser will be offered an immediate replacement or refund of the complete purchase price.

A fan favorite wherever he played, Chico Resch got his career rolling at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. During his four years on campus, he earned a degree in education while tending goal for the Bulldogs.

He then turned pro with the Muskegon Mohawks of the IHL. There he won the James Norris Memorial Trophy for allowing the fewest goals, won rookie of the year honors, and was selected as a First-Team All-Star in 1972.

The following year, he stepped up to play for the New Haven Nighthawks of the AHL for a season and then joined the New York Islanders organization where he spent most of 1973-74 with the Fort Worth Wings of the CHL. He took MVP honors and was voted a CHL First-Team All-Star.

With nothing left to accomplish in the minors, Resch stepped into a role as backup goalie for the Islanders. After one season on the pine, he stepped forward to assume front-line status, winning far more games than he lost while maintaining a strong goals-against average. During his seven-plus seasons on Long Island, he was twice selected as a second-team all-star.

Resch reached the height of his success by playing an instrumental role in helping his team take their first-ever Stanley Cup in 1979-80. But with the arrival of Billy Smith, the Islanders traded Resch to the struggling Colorado Rockies in 1981.

Resch put up a brave front between the pipes and was rewarded with the Bill Masterton Trophy as the player who best exemplified the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey in 1982. He then made the transfer to New Jersey along with the rest of the former Rockies where he played parts of four more seasons. Afterwards, he was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers where he played only 25 games before hanging up his pads for good in 1986.

Since his retirement from hockey, Resch has worked as a goaltending coach, a scout, the general manager and coach of the WHL's Tri-City Americans and as a color analyst for the North Stars and Devils.
