Except for some fading to the green cloth cover due to the sun this book is in near fine condition with all the pages intact, tight, bright and clean, The front paper flap bears the inscription "To Gordon...Oct 5, 1939...With best wishes for a very happy birthday...Agnes Hayes. A book which aspires to being a modernized fairy tale, in which wonderment and joy are retained and the heart-aches and nightmares are left out.
