t is very seldom that one comes across such a young and very talented artist such as Jack Dylan who is quickly making a name for himself in the pop art world. I met Jack at a pop art exhibition and for some reason or other our karma intertwined and after many encounters of drinking espressos at a Montreal cafe I was able to convince Jack to sell me some of his original pen and ink drawings that he created for some of the best known rock bands in the world and which have never been made available to lovers of pop art. This particular work of art titled "Save Frosty The Snowman" was created for a benefit concert held December 16, 2006 in Montreal, Quebec to fight global warming and featured some of North America's top rock bands.

Jack has also produced full color posters of his original works and we will be including the applicable poster with this pen and ink drawing.

The original pen and ink drawing measures 16 1/2" x 11 3/4" and is signed "J.D" in the lower right hand corner. The full color poster measures 17 1/2" x 11 1/2".

Born November 14th, 1983, in Stratford Ontario. Jack studied painting and sculpture at the Beal School of Art in London Ontario from which he graduated. Jack, moved to Montreal in the Fall of 2003. He co-founded a large studio and venue space known as “The Electric Tractor”. He continued to paint and exhibit in cafes and shops, but during this time, became increasingly active as a poster artist and illustrator, creating works to advertise the shows and events in the music community.

He co-founded “Friendship Cove” with fellow Stratford-ite and musician Graham Van Pelt, 2007 Polaris nominee Miracle Fortress (Van Pelt) recorded the album “Five Roses” at Friendship Cove.

Jack continues to live in Montreal, works with the music community, show-casing his posters through music venues and festivals like “Pop Montreal”, “Sled Island”, and “Le Guess Who” (Utrech, The Netherlands). Working actively as a commercial Illustrator, Jack recently created works for publications such as “Eye Weekly” (Toronto), “The Mirror,” (Montreal), “Anthem Magazine,” (USA), and “Masionnuve” (Montreal).
