McCoy Gay Time Pitcher / Cookie Jar

The Nelson McCoy Pottery issued this piece in 1961 and I was very surprised to find it listed as both a pitcher and a cookie jar. The pattern name is Gay Time and it measures 8" high (10 1/2" high including the knob on the cover. and it is 9" across from the spout to the handle. The pitcher also seems heavier than most McCoy pitchers. The pitcher is in excellent condition, and the transfer of the girl and boy planting tulips against the turquoise background is bright and clear. There are no chips, cracks or crazing and the bottom reads McCoy USA.
