The tranquility of the scene is belied by the usual stormy winter weather that we experience in the North. In fact, spring might just be around the corner, as the river is no longer frozen, but is running freely.

Manuel Ruiz is a well known North American listed artist, especially for his water colors and oil paintings. He now works only on large commissions for corporate or private collections.

This painting, an oil on canvas, comes framed (length-24 1/2" by 28 1/4" -width) in a classic wooden frame and linen matte. Unframed the painting measures 16" by 20".
