One of America's favorite slap-stick comedy team Abbot & Costello are featured on the cover is this May, 23 1942 issue of Liberty Magazine. As well there is a great article on Abbot & Costello on how they met and their rise to fame during the war years. My favorite article of this issue is the one on Joe Louis who enlisted in the U.S. Army leaving behind him a career at its zenith and a two-million-dollar take. There are also stories on How Admiral King Runs the U.S. Navy and Courage of the Conquered. Also featured are short stories titled: Channel Port by Leonard Lee, Good Bye Now by Laurie Hillyer, Home to Stay by Frank K. Kelly and The Running Fool by Alec Rackowe.
As well as your favorite columns and features this issue containing 50 pages, measures 11 1/4" x 8 1/2" , is in absolute mint condition and is filled with great 40's ads.
