This magnificent Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Figurine titled "Wave and Rock - No. 1132" is one of the finest that I have come across in a long time. Designed in 1897 by Theodore Lundberg, Sweden this is the only work that Lundberg did for the Royal Copenhagen factory. This particular piece dates around the early 1960's and it depicts two nude lovers sitting on a wave splashed rock kissing with the male lover's hands tied behind his back. Made of a hard paste porcelain with an underglaze decoration this figurine measures 18 1/2" high and is in absolute mint condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. A stunning piece of work done in immaculate detail.
