This is a real beauty!
Made of Dichroic Crystal with shades of lavender, blue and pink, this glass has the ability to change colors when exposed to different lighting.
In normal, incandescent light, it takes on a pinkish-lavender hue and under a fluorescent light, it changes to
a soft blue.
As with all of Duncan and Miller products, it is of the highest quality and clarity.
The bowl is in excellent condition aside from one very small small nick on the bottom of the bowl which is
virtually undetectable unless you run your fingers around the base of the bowl.
This little piece of glass history, began it’s production in 1951’s when The Duncan and Miller Company still had possession of the moulds for the #115 Canterbury line. The year 1955 Saw the demise and closure of the Duncan and Miller factory and the moulds reverted to Tiffin. The "Dawn" color is the name given to the Neodymium colored glass made by the Duncan and Miller Factory. When Tiffin took over the glass formulae and the moulds, the color was marketed as "Twilight."
