This is a contemporary leather necklace with a miniature tulip cameo. The beads accented on the silver pendant make it a bold and passionate jewelry. I was always fascinated by beaded jewelry and vintage embroidery. Creating original jewelry design is a challenge. If you looked at my other fashion jewelry styles you probably have noticed some unconventional necklaces and bracelets. According to Persian legend, the first tulips sprang up from the drops of blood shed by a lover, and for a long time the tulip was the symbol of passionate love. The image of a very dark tulip is imprinted in a special technique and set in a vintage-like oval sterling silver pendant. Two crystal clear 10 mm Czech fire polished beads are hinged to the pendant. The 10 mm black leather neckpiece is accented with hand sewn 4 mm czech fire polished beads and capped with sterling silver. Same beads surround the oval silver pendant. The necklace closes by velcro fasteners sewn to the leather, adjusting 14" - 16". The size of the pendant is 32 X 22 mm and it is 4 mm thick.
