It's that time of year. Enjoy your Christmas shopping.
A picture of the lamp can be found on Page 141 of "Lancaster Glass Company 1908 - 1937" by John P. Zastowney. The advertisement for the lamp is also shown.
In her article in "Southeastern Antiquing Magazine, collector Kay P, Caruso writes "Lancaster glass is unlike other machine-made glass of the Depression Era. It was not made in the mass-producing mold machines. Most of it was mold blown and hand finished. Some collectors feel that it should be classified as elegant glass due to its clarity and polished seams. Defects can be found in some pieces, but the quality of the glass itself is remarkable."
Lancaster Glass Company was founded in 1908. Hocking took over controlling interest of the Lancaster Glass Company in 1927. Lancaster continued to make and market glass under the Lancaster name until 1937.
These lamps are in remarkable condition with no chips or cracks. One of the lamps has straw marks on the base. Queen Anne burners are included, but may not be original to the lamps.
A rare find!
