Cute little owl with black and gray volcanic finish was made by the Pigeon Forge Pottery Company. The business was founded by Doug Ferguson in the 1940's. Mr. Ferguson passed away in 1998, and the business was closed in 2000. Our owl measures about 3 1/2" high and 3" wide. Marked on the bottom with the Pigeon Forge mark and Mr. Ferguson's initials, D.F. Remarkable condition.

A soft satin finish covers the designs.The colors tend to darken as they approach the base and handles. Marked with Roseville in relief and a style number. Reference: "Roseville In All Its Splendor" by Jack and Nancy Bomm. Measures 6" high. Marked on the bottom: Roseville, U.S.A., 188-6". No chips or cracks. Remarkable condition.
