Offered is a spectacular bluebill hen decoy that is attributed to William G. Loney (1878-1956) of Milford, Ontario. This decoy has original paint with minor wear. The white area near the bill may have old touch up. It has been lightly hit by shot. It has tack eyes and the head sits on a shelf, and is solid like all Loney decoys. It also had a round weight on the bottom like the examples of the weight shown in Stewart's book The County Decoys. Noted author Jim Stewart looked at this decoy and he felt it was carved by Loney. It carries a rig brand on the bottom TVL. This is an excellent example of the early decoys from Prince Edward County, Ontario.
