This decoy was made by the Mason Decoy Company 1896-1924. Broadbill decoys with the extra wide bill are a bit more rare than the standard bluebill decoy. Mason sold their decoys by the dozen which included eight drakes and four hens, which make the hens much harder to find. This decoy is in very good original condition, with the feather painting on the back still present. This Mason has the normal gunning wear that you would expect on a decoy of it's age. The rigging has been removed, and it carries the rig brand N on the bottom. One side of the tail is worn, and the eyes may have been reset at some point in it's life. Overall this is a great 100 year old decoy that will fit in any collection.
