This carving was done by David Snowball, of George River Village in the Ungava region of the Canadian arctic. It is a four piece carving that was done from caribou horn. It is a mother bird feeding her chicks. I purchased it from David in the early 1980s. Inuit art is very collectable, and prices on it continue to rise every year.
