Return Policy
Ruby Lane and each of its independent shops want you to be satisfied with your purchase. To ensure your satisfaction and for the protection of both the buyer and shop owner, we have a Return Policy that each Ruby Lane shop owner honors. View Return Policy now.

Shipping/Handling/Insurance Policy:
Items get shipped USPS Priority Mail (or unless otherwise stated in item description such as First Class Shipping). ALL shipments include Delivery Confirmation which is for tracking purposes. First Class Shipping fees are based on the fragility of the item. Buyer agrees to pay for all shipping unless specified differently.

Multiple items purchased at same time that can be shipped together are eligible for a shipping discount!

Insurance is optional but highly recommended. We are not responsible for lost or damaged items that may occur during shipping. We are not responsible for items that are sent back to us for undeliverable mail or wrong address given unless it is an error on our part. We will offer to resend items for the extra costs of the shipping fees. We do pack exceptionally well but there is always that chance of damage or loss in transit. In this event please file your claim at your Post Office and we will fill out the appropriate insurance forms promptly when sent to us by USPS. Please also save the original shipping box and contents to present to the Post Office for a refund.

Restocking Fee:
Please take note though that we do NOT ship on approval! If you are unhappy with your item, please email us within 3 days of receiving it. See our above return policy link for more detailed information. A refund minus shipping will be refunded promptly upon our approval of the returned item. On All Items including Jewelry and especially Dolls, we charge a 25% re-stocking fee because of it's fragility and vulnerability to the slightest damage that can drastically lessen the value plus the time involved packing, shipping, unpacking and inspecting plus our supplies which we do not re-use. Our items are One-Of-A-Kind and can not be easily replaced and in most cases can not be replaced at all. However, if a return on these related items is approved by us because of an oversight on our part or a valid explanation, we will eliminate the re-stocking fee. We will refund the full amount if the oversight on our part is a huge one which will also include the shipping back to you. We are very fair, honest sellers and will gladly work with you concerning any offered item.

Lay-Aways: Available and flexible plans for items $200 and more. Starting from a 2-month period for items under $300 or 3-month period for items $300 and more. If payment on Lay-Away is very late (2 weeks) or canceled, we charge a 25% restocking fee on the Purchase Price and may re-list item to be available in our shop at our discretion.

Please first check out your item/s by first clicking on the Purchase Button in the shopping bag and completing all forms. You will receive a basic Ruby Lane receipt. We at "Years After" will email you shortly with all the detailed shipping information where payment by Paypal can be made immediately afterwards. Since we are on the Internet, we NEED you to confirm that you received this email. If a confirmation is not received within 3 days from the date of the Purchase Order, we then have the right to cancel.

If paying by Money order or Check then please wait for an email from us also after your checkout since it will contain the mailing address. Once received, make your payments out to Michael Ward only. Personal checks are subject to hold for up to 12 days for clearance before shipping.

Our preference is Paypal but we also accept Money Orders, and Personal Checks. Items that have purchase orders on "Sale Pending" NEED to be paid for either in Paypal, by money order or check within 2 days and received no later than 7 days or the item may become available in our shop again. We have the right to cancel an order and relist the item at our discretion. Please understand that other customers may be interested in an item that you have on hold.

Our Items are already discounted before any Sale, therefore Only Reasonable Offers are Considered on Items over $50 or Multiple Items if any type of Sale on them is not in progress. Negotiated or Accepted Offers are only valid if an immediate agreement is confirmed in email or by placing an immediate "Purchase Order". All Offers responded to and not acted upon are void after 24 hrs.

NY residents pay a 8.625 sales tax. We ship promptly with Paypal and Money Orders. We also ship promptly when check payment clears. Payments sent that are less than the exact total amount required will be delayed in shipping until the full amount is paid.

Due to heavy volume, questions regarding information on your items that are similar to ours may not get a response.

Our Items are either Vintage, Antique or Hard-To-Find Collectibles. We prefer to focus on items dating from the 1800's and earlier to the 1960's and Do Not Sell New Reproductions. Vintage and Antique items will show expected aging unless they are in MINT Condition which is rare for antique items but we do strive to search for them as one of our priorities. Please always read our descriptions carefully. Computers will vary the shades of colors on different monitors and we can not be responsible for these varying shades. We have detailed and descriptive listings for your convience.
