A Beautiful Antique Victorian Portrait Brooch Bevel-set with a Wonderful Handpainted Portrait on Porcelain and framed in a Gold over Sterling Silver (Silver Gilt) Setting, origin European circa 1880's! (See All Photos!)

This Antique Victorian Brooch has a Gold over Sterling Silver Setting (tests positive). French Nobility favored Sterling Silver Jewelry coated with Gold known as Vermeil.

This Antique Victorian Brooch features a Portrait of a Lady wearing a Chartreuse Green Dress tied with bows at the shoulders with white accent dots and lines in relief. Her white necklace is represented by raised dots too. She has beautiful shading to her skin and face with bright red coral Lips and Long Gray Billowy Hair which rests on one shoulder.

The Back is securely closed and has a Tube Hinge and working "C" Catch Clasp. Note the pin stem that extends beyond the Brooch which is significant in Antique Jewelry.

This Antique Victorian Jewelry is in Excellent Condition with light paint wear to the gold frame and her hair. Absolutely no hairlines, chips or cracks to the porcelain. Measurements are 1-1/4" in diameter.
