This is the most beautiful tested 18kt gold chain with its original 18kt gold pencil held by a ruby studded slide. Measuring 25 inches in length this former watch chain can easily be worn now as a neck chain with or without the pencil which is attached with a spring ring clasp. The chain is a fox tail design. The pencil is 1 5/16 inch in length with 3 tiny rubies and I think it was handmade because it still has the marks on the ends where it was folded over. It weighs a total of 8 grams for chain and pencil. Circa 1900 antique piece.
