SOLD Huge Carved Chinese Carnelian Necklace

A huge 2 1/4 inches across and 1 3/4 inches in height this is a gorgeously detailed necklace. The center medallion is carved carnelian in the design of a large vase of flowers. It is surrounded with a scalloped edging of tiny seed pearls. These pearls show wear commensurate with their age and all are present and original. Dangling from the bottom looped edge are five chains with seeds pearls on the bottom. The back of the pendant is as beautiful as the front and the design is filigreed gold wire in interlocking circular designs with three large flowers in the center. The chain is a double 28 inch open link chain set with tiny seed carnelian beads and larger carved carnelians 8mm in size. The metal is vermeil in excellent condition and there are no markings on the pendant or chain.
