Fabulous Victorian Cherub or Putti mantel ornament. Cherub is playing a guitar or mandolin. Reported to come from a North Shore Long Island estate. Victorian. Approximately 9 inches tall with a screw in the back so the figures could be seated. The cherub weighs 8lbs 4 oz. Unsigned. Estimated value approximately $600-$800. Awesome and in wonderful antique condition. As is expected of iron, it has aged to perfection with a beautiful patina. Not rusty. I'm pleased to offer this cherub on behalf of my client.
