Marcasite Bar Pin with Hanging Medallion

Circa 1910-1915. Marcasite bar pin with a gorgeous hanging medallion measuring 1-1/4 inches. Overall size 2-1/8 inches. Made of a white or pot metal with a rhodium plating. Simple C clasp on the back. Two loops attached to either end of the flowered bar connect the chain to the medallion. Beautifully executed. Upon magnified inspection, one marcasite directly under the oval is damaged. There may be one more to its lower left with a little damage as well. I will seek to replace these upon the approval of the buyer. Knowing that all marcasite are original is more important to me and loving this brooch exactly as it is will be up to you as the buyer. It is not evident when worn and I only point it out to be as accurate as possible about my descriptions. There is also a slight bend to the flowered bar that may be seen in my photos. Again, the overall aesthetics are still there and you must inspect the brooch to notice. A gorgeous Edwardian brooch, which I hope will find its way to its forever home.
