This wonderful Victorian Sash Pin with Huge Red Faceted Glass is not for the faint of heart. It is a substantial piece, measuring 3 inches across and 2 inches from top to bottom. It has a layered look, as the glass is set on top of the openwork frame. The faceted glass is a fabulous deep red. Since the brooch is open in the back, the red shows itself beautifully. Unsigned. Long, straight pin stem with early safety clasp. Brass-toned setting with the bezel around the glass more of a white metal color. The glass is faceted to a convex point. One bubble at the surface of the glass is apparent. It is not a chip or a nick. Overall, in very good condition.
