An excellent example of a high quality, Victorian, Bronzed Brass Fishing Reel made by Farlow and Co London, England around 189o.

This is a 4.25in dia model and is relatively uncommon.

Cosmetically, the bronzed brass body is complete and in excellent condition, with some minor rubbing in places due to use. Everything appears to work satisfactorily and it comes with original fishing line and leather case.

The internal rotating mechanism is in excellent, smooth, working condition.

The heavy leather case has the original velvet lining and is in very good condition, with some scuffing, as you would expect. It is stamped Chas Farlow and Co, 191 Strand, London.

This is a beautiful vintage item, both to look at and use and we would say 8+/10 was a fair guide to its condition, considering its age.

The reel is engraved 'Patent Lever No 4212', 'Chas Farlow and Co, Makers, 191 Strand, London'.

Approx Overall Size 4.25ins diax3.75ins (11cms diax9.5cms).

Case size 5x4.5x4.5ins (12x11x11cms)
