The woodwork is generally in good condition, but with some scuffing and indentations to the woodwork and some staining to the polished finish.

All the turned columns and finials are complete and undamaged, but there are some small losses to the carved underside of the top platform. See larger images.

The top wooden ring has a repaired split to one side and the centre has been fitted with a brass inner ring.

Despite the defects, this is still an interesting and inexpensive piece of decorative Victoriana
