A good example of a pedestal mounted Kaleidoscope, probably made in France in the 1870s. This one has a metal body covered with contemporary fabric and is set onto a turned polished fruitwood base The general condition is good throughout, but the images formed by the internal mirrors are very good, with original black glass reflectors.
