Selini ‘Devil-Face’ Earrings, with Jewelled Turbans

This is quite a rare pair of clip earrings with faux ivory oriental ‘devil’ faces, wearing turbans enamelled green and blue and decorated with tiny bright green rhinestones. One of the earrings is signed ‘Selini’ on a tiny embossed area to the right of the clip – I hope you can see this in my picture. No doubt, the faces themselves are marked ‘Selro’ on the reverse, but this is hidden by the closed back of the setting. A matching brooch was made to go with this set, and it was done in at least three different colour-schemes – some of the examples I have in my personal collection are signed ‘Selro’, others are signed ‘Selini’. These earrings do have some wear to the gold plating on the reverse and also to the enamelling especially at the top of the turbans. They are still very wearable and great fun; the clips are good and tight. They measure 1 ¼ inches from top to bottom.
