Welcome to Canadian Rockies Art / Wire & Beads Creations by Nathalie Girard, artisan jewelry featuring Sterling Silver, Hill Tribe Pure Silver, Solid Copper, 14kt Gold Filled metals, Paua Shells, Leather, Semi-Precious Gemstones, Gorgeous pearls, Swarovski Crystals, Beach Glass (aka Sea Glass), as well as my own Polymer Clay elements!

I am a Silversmith, artisan jewelry designer, polymer clay & lampwork artist.

I really enjoy creating high quality jewelry pieces of art with an earthy ethnic feel. I am fascinated by the beauty of nature and the elements.

All the jewelry is handcrafted by myself, and each piece is one of a kind, a unique piece of wearable art that you can treasure for years to come.

My jewelry & lampworking studio is located in my non-smoking home, at the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, where I create all my pieces with great care.

Many of my pieces incorporate lampwork glass beads that I have purchased from other very talented glass artists, and, as I become more proficient at making my own lampwork glass beads, those will be also incorporated in my designs.

For your information: My own lampwork beads are wound on 3/32 or 1/16 inch mandrels. All my beads are made with either Moretti-Effetre (Italian) or Lauscha (German) glass, properly cleaned and annealed in a digitally controlled kiln for optimal durability.

Quality has its price, and I take great pride in making high quality jewelry, using not only the finest elements available but also finishing my pieces carefully with attention to details. I use sterling silver crimp covers on sterling silver pieces, gold filled crimp covers on gold filled pieces, and so on. I use wire-guardians to help protect the jewelry wire where it is likely to get the most abuse - where it ties in to the clasp area, so that the jewelry you purchase from me will give you years of enjoyment.

Look carefully when purchasing jewelry either in person or online - what may look like a good deal at first glance may turn out to be a piece that isn't finished properly or that will not last you nearly as long as a higher quality piece of jewelry would. Do keep in mind that Artisan jewelry is more delicate and more fragile than commercially made jewelry, so treat it with care and it will give you years of enjoyment.
