Remember road trips with the family? Here is a wonderful Florida alligator thermometer souvenir.

Made of pottery, he is glazed in a deep brown. The alligator sits on atop a log that hold the thermometer. The alligator is highlighted with a gold wash and you can see his scales in detail. His mouth is red with white edging. "FLORIDA" is impressed into the base of the log. It measures 4 1/2" tall, 6 3/8" long and 2" wide. The base is covered with felt and has a red and gold sticker attached that says Japan.

The thermometer still works, but is accuracy is questionable, appears to be 5 degrees or so off.

Very minimal paint wear. No chips or cracks. Dates to the 1950's-1960's.
