Rainbow Glass Company Vintage Amber Hand Blown Pitcher Controlled Bubbles

Rainbow Glass Company of West Virginia produced hand blown glass items of their own making from 1954-1973.

This lovely amber colored pitcher measures 9 1/2" tall and has a base that is 5" wide. The handle is applied separately and has a curl on the bottom. The pitcher is made with the controlled bubble technique, adding bubbles to the glass in a pattern. As the glass is shaped, some of the bubbles elongate. The base has a pontil.

There is a faint 2" scratch on the outside about 1/2 way down the pitchers body. It is very light and can be felt and seen in bright lights only. Very light residue on the inside bottom of the pitcher.
