Fantastic Antique Majolica Compote Basketweave Begonia Center

Great 9 and 1/4" across with thin rope edge, basketweave background and large begonia leaf center, repeat pattern of basketweave on the base of this fantastic early Majolica compote. Stands 5 and 1/2" tall, and the base is 5" across. There vis an incised mark, but I am unable to read it. There is a 2" hairline on the back underside of the bowl of the compote, but it looks like crazing on the front side. I have photographed this closely so that you can see clearly. It is not uncommon to find such fractures in this type and age of this ware. This is an exceptional piece in age, quality, design and condition.
