Many New Items this Month! Get Them Before They're Gone!
She is not your typical dolly face, as you can see. She was manufactured by Ohlhaver and is marked as shown, Revalo, 5, Germany. I don't know if her outfit is original, but it has been with her since I purchased her, and it is antique. Her clothing consists of pantaloons with a matching half slip. Her dress is just wonderful with a light peach colored underdress. The overdress is antique net lace and is just exquisite. The peach silk ribbon is sewn closed in the front and the ribbon is melting which is why I did not undress her for fear of ruining the ribbon. Her headdress is made of antique peach lace with rust colored feathers inserted into the bow. Her black stockings and ivory colored shoes are not antique, but are vintage.
She has beautiful coloring with deeply blushed cheeks and a beautifully painted mouth. Her eyebrows are nicely feathered. She has blue sleep eyes with feathered hair lashes. Her mohair wig looks original to me and is a a bit sparse and short. There is a blemish of some sort on her right cheek. It is not a crack, but almost looks like a paint run or something under the finish. I had never noticed it before until I started inspecting her closely in order to describe her correctly.
Her body is not marked, but appears to be in good condition and she is strung nicely so that she holds a pose. She has a pudgy little tummy.
You don't find these Revalo dolls often, and this one is a wonderful example of these dolls manufactured by Ohlhaver.
