Antique Gorgeous Simon & Halbig 1249 'Santa' 20" Doll

Simon & Halbig is one of my favorite doll manufacturers and this 1249 Santa mold is one of their most beautiful.

She stands 20" tall and, with the exception of an obviously replaced thigh, she is on her original wood and composition ball jointed body.

Her head is just perfect, and is free of chips, cracks, hairlines, eye chips, earring hole chips....her head is just perfect! There are some stray hairs in my photos that may appear to be cracks on her face. They are just stray hairs. She even has what I believe to be her original, hand tied mohair wig. Her pate is cardboard. Her eyes are blue and are fringed in hair lashes and her eyewax, though darkened, is original. She does not have a weight which would allow her eyes to sleep. I believe she may have had one originally, and it should be an easy fix to add one. Her eyes are not set, and do open and close easily either by using the strings shown in the picture of by manually opening and closing them through the top of her head.

She has beautifully molded brows and the distinctive Santa 'V' on her lower lip. She has wonderful pale bisque and gorgeous coloring.

She will come dressed as you see her in a an antique white dress trimmed with hand tatted lace, antique white full slip, cream colored stockings, and vintage white shoes. She is marked:
