This piano stool stands 9.75" tall when the seat is not extended. By turning the seat, it extends to 13" tall. I'm not certain if it was originally made for a child or as a salesman's sample. This child's linen book was published by the Samuel Gabriel Sons & Co. of New York and has the copyright date of 1911 on the front. I measures 8" x 5.75". The alphabet has rhymes as examples of the letters and the pictures illustrate various Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes. The illustrations are signed by the artist Gordon Robinson. The condition is good for an item of this age. There are a few pencil marks, some dog-earing and fraying around the edges.
