I believe this doll was made in the 1930's from the research I've done. He measures 8" tall and was made by the Norah Wellings company. He has a molded, felt face and his body is velveteen. The band around his hat says R.M.S.QUEEN MARY. This little guy is in wonderful, original condition down to the hangtag on his arm and the tag on his foot which reads "Made in England by Norah Wellings". The top of his cap has a tiny bit of soiling, but he is in otherwise remarkable condition.

This is a cute set of advertising cloth dolls from 1935. They were part of a set of 4 dolls which included Freckles the Frog, Dinkey the Dog, Dandy the Duck and Crinkles the Cat. They were available from Kellogg's for 10 cents plus one Wheat Krispies box top each, or 25 cents and four box tops for the whole set.
