Intricate design with a flared lip. No damage. In it's original condition! No paint has been applied, natural patina on this piece! All done by hand, this basket has 8 spines an 8 feet. Each spine wire is wrapped and lashed with thinner gage wire. The handle has thick twisted wrapped wire. Each end of the handles are not uniform. A definite done by hand piece! A very nice basket! It is short and squatted. It is 27 inches in diameter. It is 12 1/2 inches tall.This wire piece was in a photo shoot for the April edition of Martha Stewart Living.
