19th Century South American Ceremonial Gaucho Spurs

This set came out of a collection in Philadelphia. Some collectors call them Spanish Colonial Spurs, Gaucho Spurs or Ceremonial Spurs from South America. They are very nice in very good condition. There is some surface rust in various places. They are made of heavy metal. Possibly chrome steel or forged iron. The design is intricate, with stars and diamonds with a leaf pattern. The rowels are 4 inches with 42 prongs. When I spin them they sound of crystal. There is a vintage ribbon tied to one which is from that era. These are not reproductions that you may see now and again. These are a match set with a right and a left. Which is very important! The length is 8 inches. Any questions please contact us.
