Antique Primitive Iron Ladle / Strainer / Scoop

This antique strainer ladle measures 13 1/2" long. The head is 5" by 3 1/4". It is 2 pieces soldered together. There is a hanging hole in the handle. The piece is all hand made. I am not sure of the original use, but it looks like it could have been used in a very early kitchen or forge. At one time in our history, items like this were used to melt down lead items for musket ammunition. Please click on the picture to see all the details.
