$100 USDAntique Match Safe Holder Vesta - German Silver

This is a old match safe. It has the initials "T S" or "F S" marked on one side. It is also marked "G SILVER" on the inside edge. This type of match holder probably belonged to a "working man". There are some minor dents, after all this was carried in a pocket. There is a strike plate on the bottom front and back. It measures 1-1/2" wide and 2-3/4" high. The hinge is in good working order. This is a beautiful gold gilt mirror, or looking glass, from the House of Borghese. It has an old paper label on the back side but part of it is missing. It measures 26" tall x 13" at it's widest point. It is in great condition. The screws holding the chain in back have been replaced by me, one had pulled out and was missing, while the other was loose. This is a wonderful Amberina cruet. Amberina Glass was developed in 1883 by Joseph Lock. It is made by adding gold powder to the amber glass batch. This cruet is the Inverted Thumbprint pattern.
