Offering antique jewelry from the Georgian and Victorian era's to the 1940's. Free 1st class shipping on jewelry.
The necklace consists of thirty four gold segments with black enameling against a stippled background, which form a Greek Key design. Suspended from the center and on either side are three large Greek hard stone cameo’s in high relief with exceptional detailing in the hair and jewelry. Each of the earrings is mounted in the same design; also with two different cameos. All of the mountings around the cameos have black tracery enameling and accented with a gold bead.
This Victorian suite is a rare piece to find and an absolute show stopper when worn.
Markings: None
Condition: Very good, the earrings originally would have been pierced drops, when I purchased them they were converted to posts and I have had them professionally converted back to pierced drops, thus the plaque on the backs for anchoring the wires. The largest cameo in the center of the necklace has a faint hairline crack in the background which is pictured. Also the back of the neck of the left hand cameo and the front of the center cameo have a teeny flake, which is not noticeable to the naked eye, but is visible with a 20x jewelers loupe. If you need more photos I would be happy to send you more.
Dimensions: Necklace is 15” long with thirty-four 5/8” by ˝” elements. The center cameo is 1 ˝” in diameter and hangs 2 ˝”. The two side cameos are 1 1/8” in diameter by 2” long and the earrings are 7/8” by 1 1/2”.
