This stunning Victorian brooch was difficult to photograph due to it's reflective properties. It is almost entirely engraved, etched or scalloped over every part of the surface. Applied to the center is a design with traces of black tracery enamel called Taille d'epargne. Suspended from the bottom are three pendulum shaped drops. This pieces tests 14k gold and appears to be original. It has a tubular hinge, a thick pin stem which extends beyond the brooch, a C clasp. Measures 1 1/8" by 1 3/8". Ready to wear, always in style.
