Offering antique jewelry from the Georgian and Victorian era's to the 1940's. Free domestic & international shipping.
Mourning jewelry was popularized by Queen Victorian who was in mourning over her husband, Prince Albert for 26 years. Hair jewelry is a sentimental love token, made for friendship as well as mourning.
The brooch has an extended pinstem which is indicative of early jewelry. The kidney shaped earwires clasp in the back and are original. Please take a close look at the bottom of the back, where I believe a drop hung from originally. Otherwise there are no damages or repairs to these pieces. Slight wear commensurate with age. The brooch measures 1 5/8" by 1 3/8" and the earrings are 1 1/4" long by 5/8". Ready to wear condition. Far nicer than my images show. Dots on the gold are reflections from my camera lens.
